I will follow you into the dark

Who: Cordy and Hood
What: Doing a little dance. Making a little love. Basically getting down tonight. Talking
When: Monday Night
Where: Sort-of-Cave

It was the middle of the night, though Cordy wasn't sure what time. Two or three, maybe? It was hard enough to tell in the city without a clock, and that much harder in the desert, with its strange days and nights. Cordy was generally a sound sleeper once she got to bed, but she had woken up from a bad dream and found herself unable to rest again.

Instead of sleeping, she'd chosen to watch Hood, though it was dark enough in their little burrow that it was difficult to make out any features. She rested on her side, one arm lightly wrapped around his waist, curled up beside him. Despite the bizarre circumstances surrounding their appearance in the desert, she was happy to see him again; although, she didn't have to be a scientist (inwardly, she groaned at the thought) to notice that something was wrong with him. He was quiet and more than a little withdrawn. Though who could blame him? The past few months had been hard on everyone. She reached over and gently pressed her fingertips to his cheek. Stubble. Or maybe it was sand. It was hard to tell in the dark.
