Cho waved back, pushing herself into a sitting position while she watched him walk away. Big strong man moving buildings, just one of many of them. Cho sighed and blew a puff of air up into her bangs. She'd never regretted her small size and slight weight more than she did right now. A city full of jobs that needed to be done, and she was too small to do any of it, and she wouldn't know how to go about asking for work anyway. That sounded so strange and pathetic, but it was true. Cho had never had to worry about money before. She went to school because she wanted to, worked as a research assistant because she loved it, and both of those things had come to her, she hadn't had to go after them.

Some of the crew was already back to work, and Cho watched as a short little man - dwarf? Probably. He was sizing up a gap between the stone walls, then shaking his head and looking cross. Cho wondered what he was trying to get at. It appeared that she wasn't going to get to know, though, because was already turning away from it.

And then he saw her sitting there, and he marched over, waving a wrench in front of him. "Hey, you, pipsqueak. You'll fit. Take this, crawl into that hole, follow the pipe, and unscrew the join when you get to it. Understand?" Cho just sat there staring at him. She knew what the words meant, but she still managed to have no idea what he wanted her to do. "Come on, human, move it. Or were you doing something especially important lying in the grass there? Come on, get up and get your ass in that wall." Cho got to her feet, still looking confused and a bit hesitant, but she took the wrench and jogged after the dwarf as he marched back to the building. She really hoped it would be more obvious what it was she was supposed to do once she was in there.
