I don't know why you say goodbye

WHO: Bonnie and Damon
WHAT: Who knows, really?
WHEN: Tuesday night.  Late.
WHERE: Their apartments

Ever since their last encounter, Bonnie had avoided Damon at whatever costs it had taken.  When she'd been out on the town and felt him coming close, she'd run the other way.  It was really just too humiliating to have to face him after everything he'd found out about her.  But aside from her embarrassment, she was also just sad.  Pouring out her soul to Damon hadn't been as hard as she'd expected it to be, but exposing herself that way and watching just how much of a damn he did not give had just plain sucked.  She hadn't expected a hug or anything, but Bonnie couldn't help feeling like she'd just lost.

Then again, it had never been much of a game.

But now she was leaving Jhelbor, and it was time to go back and get her things.  If luck was on her side, Damon wouldn't be around and she could just leave a note for him to say she'd left.  A journal entry, maybe.  Later, after she wouldn't risk crying onto the magical pages.  Bonnie wasn't quite sure if those would show up, but she really wanted to avoid exposing another weakness to Damon.

As she walked back inside of her apartment, Bonnie counted down how long it had been since she'd last walked in.  Over two weeks.  If she was counting correctly--and she knew she was--it had been fifteen days.  Not long for a vampire, really, but comparatively....

Now where was that furry scarf?
