Touya had been a little uneasy the past few days, and as such could be made change to his cat form rather easily. This was one of those moments. Someone with a rather large, something...he hadn't gotten to see what, had backed into him while neither of them were looking. It hadn't been a big deal, but Touya had changed on impact and darted off without seeing what happened...leaving his clothes where they fell.

He did the most natural thing then came to mind, seek out Aihlen for help. The elf had been much nicer than he had thought most adults could be. So he slipped in behind an elf and tracked Aihlen's scent until he found him and tapped him with a paw to get him to look down.

Aihlen frowned down at the black cat with one set of claws stuck in his pant leg. "Cat," he called out to whoever was in ear shot. "I've got a cat in here." He set down his paperwork and bent to attempt to unhook the animal without any injury to either of them. He'd never seen so many pets in one place. Elves just... didn't do pets. Not pets that didn't serve a purpose, anyway. Scouts and their Sylphs were different.

Touya retracted his claws and sat down. Talking in this body wasn't something he could do so he needed some way to tell who he was. Thankfully his eyes hadn't changed so maybe if there was something else he could do...He sat down, using one of his hind legs to push the glowing gem he'd gotten from the gods up his stomach and into view.

As far as he knew, he was the only one who had something exactly like that stuck to him so maybe Aihlen would recongize it? He couldn't remember if he showed him after he told him about it.

Well. That was different. "What have you got there?" He was mostly speaking to himself, since clearly it would be ridiculous to talk to a cat like it could understand you. Aihlen touched the gem, and tried to tug it free, but it didn't budge. Very, very different. He did remember his conversation with Touya about his mysterious Godly encounter. He looked at the ears, flicked one of them lightly with his finger, and then say back in his chair. "Touya?" If he was mistaken, then the only one to hear his error would be the cat, and who was he going to tell?

Touya nodded, meowing in response and flicked his tail a few times. Aihlen really was smart and that was definitely a good thing. It made him easier to talk to. And he had a good memory too.

Without giving it much thought, Touya jumped onto Aihlen's knee being careful to keep his claws retracted since he didn't want to scratch him. He was large for a kitten, but not alarmingly so and still smaller than an adult cat. He stared hard at Aihlen with wide eyes, trying to communicate that he needed some assistance...or not stressful company, or something along either line.

Aihlen was definitely smart, but he'd never had any sort of training talking to a cat that wasn't actually a cat. "So." He frowned, looking at the little kitten seriously, and grateful that claws were not coming in to play. "What now?" There didn't seem to be any pressing need, and Aihlen had no idea why Touya was now a full cat instead of a normal looking boy with weird ears and a tail. "Are you in trouble?" And before he could answer, however a cat was meant to do that, he amended himself. "Tap once for no and twice for yes."

Touya tapped Aihlen's leg twice, folding his ears back a little. How do you say "I need new clothes or someone to get me home" when you can't talk? This was actually a problem he had been used to as an all the time thing back home, but hadn't ever figured out. As it was, the whole thing was was enough to make his tail puff ouy a little.

All right. Trouble. But what kind? "Is someone chasing you?" That seemed to be a fairly common type of trouble for children. Not elven children, but the demon broods he went to school with.

Touya shook his head, tapping his paw once. There was always that he could show the problem, but he really, really didn't want to do that. It would be really embarrassing, even if Aihlen didn't get to see anything and especially if anyone came in at that time.

Touya tried to think on something he could do to show what he needed.

Aihlen opened his mouth to ask his next question when a knock on the doorframe called his attention to the blond elf standing there. "Shall I remove the cat?" she asked.

"Oh. No, thank you. He's all right." AIhlen waved the girl away, and she looked puzzled, but left as instructed. "Is it dangerous trouble?" That really should have been his first question. Though, if Touya was in any real danger Aihlen suspected there would have been more hissing and spitting and hiding under his desk.

Yeah, changing back with no clothes was definitely out. Touya watched the woman leave with obvious relief before returning his attention to Aihlen. Dangerous trouble? Another tap for no, and Touya was struck with an idea.

He lightly pawed Aihlen's shirt, then his pants. Then he patted himself with the same paw, staring hard at the elf before him. Would he understand?

"You... want my shirt?" He wasn't even bringing his pants into the equation. No, he was definitely not about to ask a child if he wanted his pants.

Close...but still wrong. Touya shook his head quickly as if to say "not yours". He did wonder now if Aihlen would've given him his shirt if he'd said yes. Too late now though, he'd already said no.

The head shaking. That would be no on a person, but Touya was currently a cat. "Is that a no? One for no, you don't want the shirt, and two for yes, you do." This was going to take all day, wasn't it? Maybe he should draw out an alphabet on a sheet of paper and Touya could spell out words.

One tap, while Touya gave it a moment's thought, thhen a second and a nod. He could see if he would get the shirt, and if he did then he could change back and talk. If not, well he'd still know.

Aihlen wouldn't have asked if he had a problem with giving up his shirt. Well, no, that wasn't strictly true, because he still would have wanted to know. But he would have stated at the beginning that he has no intention of giving it if that was what Touya wanted.

But he didn't mind, so long, nimble fingers undid the laces at each wrist and the throat, and then Aihlen shifted carefully to pull it from the waistband of his trousers without unseating the little cat.

Once he had it in his hands, he regarded the cream coloured linen, then looked at the little black, furry face. He finally settled the shirt over Touya's body, the collar draped over his little shoulders like a cape. "Better?"
