A Not-Quite Homecoming

It had been quite some time since the worldwalkers had been removed from the city, and seeing it now was an odd feeling. Jhelbor had pretty much been the starting point for many of them, but it was now busier...not much better-looking though.
Still there was a feeling somewhat like returning home as Oki followed the group of people he'd travelled with in a short distance apart from them. These people had come for the promise of a neutral city and he had come along, partially to ensure they arrived safely...but mostly because this was where he wanted to be.
It had been a long time since he'd seen another worldwalker, since he hadn't felt comfortable with lowering his defenses to strangers and therefore stayed in the oasis. Escaping the desert had been very difficult though and he now felt he should have gone with the others. He managed to make it to Dangerfield some time ago, and had been there since then.
