Have you heard about "Patriot Day?" it is a new federal holiday on September 11th, a way for the government to continue benefiting from the tragedy of the Twin Towers without having to admit to the things that we (as in the US government) did wrong on the world front.
What I am objecting to here is not a day of remembrance for the people who died (ala Pearl Harbor Day). Far from it, if they decided to have a Twin Towers Day, or how about a day of morning for the people around the world who have fallen to acts of Terrorism! I would have no objection.
But no, we now have "Patriot Day" a day intended to intimidate people into toeing the party line and supporting the US gov regardless of its policies with the threat of the smallest deviation getting you labeled with being un-patriotic and there for EVIL!
So I am trying to start my own holiday Anti-Propaganda Day on September 11th, a day that invites people to speak out against miss-information and government lies!
I hope other people will join me in this effort.
