It's the New Year in Beaverton

New Years Eve was pretty fucking weird. I went to this party with a lot of kids I hadn't seen in ages, accompanied by Kevin, Andre and Jimmy. Completely unexpected company, but fun to see some old familiar faces and catch up with people. Kevin and company weren't enjoying it much though, so we left early. I ended up missing the midnight celebration as I was in a room where I couldn't hear much other than the band and was too drunk to track the time very well. I got a little too drunk on blueberry-flavored beer, then was pressured into drinking more during a game of King's cup back at the guys' hotel room. We stayed up late, then woke up early to get the free breakfast, which I was far to sick to enjoy. Why welcome in the New Year hungover? No more letting others push me into drinking beyond my limit. It never works out well for me.

Anyway, at this party I ran into Kate Stephens almost as soon as I arrived, which was nice. Saw her and Adam and many other people whom have grown up to be a lot taller than me. I talked to a lot of kids who were wearing braces and had rolling backpacks the last time I saw them, all grown up now and smoking weed and/or drunk dancing. It was quite the experience. Today was a lot less fun. We hung around the hotel room until 1, mostly waiting for Kevin to get his shit together. He kept trying to shave his head with this rechargable razor, but could only shave a portion before having to plug it back in to charge. So we were stuck for almost an hour while Kevin walked around with various-sized hair patches and we watched a car collector's auction on the TV. Then I get home to a messed up email that sent my head spinning, but talking about that would only be frustrating, so there's no point. Watched Bridget Jones's Diary: Edge of Reason and did Sudoku once my tylenol set in, but am looking forward to a happier, healthier tomorrow. Oh, and I called some old friends this morning, which reminded me of how scattered my best pals are right now. No wonder Eugene can get so lonely.
