Just had a quick look at this new-fangled Twitter thing and was slightly taken aback at being told I could follow what Barack Obama is up to. Three thoughts have crossed my mind on this. They are, in order:
- It would be awesome if it was just day to day stuff he was writing about. "These pants are too tight, I'll bet they rip if I do pelvic thrusts" "Did bugger all today, don't think the chief of staff noticed tho" "Where the hell did I put my pen. Get me a pen or I'm invading Cuba!"
- Shouldn't President Obama be spending his time constructively, rather than p*ssing about on Twitter? Did he have to have the White Hous firewalls relaxed to allow him to access it?
- Since I've been watching a lot of West Wing recently, aren't there a few security/legal concerns with it all? What if POTUS jokingly says "Very boring meeting - totally drifted and missed half of what was said. Think I might have agreed to sell Mississippi" it'll be supreme court this and committee that...
