As of today, 11th of January, voting on the moving poll is closed!
The results are:
23 to stay on LJ
95 to move to DW
5 were indifferent.
So Route 29 is moving to Dreamwidth!
The game will be fully over on DW by January 19th, a week from now.
How is this going to happen?
Dreamwidth communities
The good news: we've already moved everything. The ooc comm and spam comm will be starting from scratch, so don't be alarmed if you don't see any posts up.
Here are the links:

breeders comm Please friend add each of these communities with your dreamwidth character journals. If you do not have a character journal, go
here to make one. If you find you cannot, contact one of the mods for an invite code. If you don't know how to operate DW, don't know how to friend the communities, let one of the mods know and we'll be happy to walk you through it. Most of all, don't stress-Dreamwidth is based off of Livejournal and resembles it very much. If you need a tutorial, we've set some links up for you
here! Pokedaycare? That's new!
That's right, the majority vote was for an egg community, so there it is! We encourage anyone with eggs to give away, breeder or otherwise, to put their ooc offerings there for organizational purposes.
We've included new rules, namely the number of allotted eggs per pokémon per breeder per month (not as complicated as it sounds, we promise!) which you can see
here at the pokedaycare community profile. If you don't know how many egg cycles the pokémon has, just use the bulbapedia link provided in the table. Trainers may get only half the allotted eggs that breeders have.
An example: Breeder A breeds his Arcanine and gets a batch of Growlithe eggs. Growlithe eggs have 21 egg cycles, meaning that his Arcanine can only give him 5-6 eggs per month. So if Breeder A decides to have one batch of 4 eggs, if he breeds his Arcanine again, she can only give him 2 more eggs. Now, if Trainer B has an Arcanine, he only gets half as many eggs, so 2-3 for the month. Anything very rare, like a Dratini, will only give Trainer B 1 egg per month.
If that's not clear, please let us know. We thought this system would put a damper on huge 'baby booms' players worried about, without requiring a whole lot of mental math or upkeep. We wanted a straightforward way to determine 'pokemon rarity' and egg cycles seemed to be it. Of course, there may be clutches under the minimum, but not over the maximum, please.
IMPORTANT: Friend-adding
In order to simplify things, we'd like for you to kindly ignore the friend add/remove post for now and instead direct your attention to the Taken Lists instead:
# - H ||
I - R ||
S - Z Please reply to the applicable Taken page, under your series title, with the updated moving code, so that we know who's who.
You have a little over one week, until the 18th of January, to respond to the Taken lists with the updated information. Anyone not present and accounted for by then will be considered to have dropped.
If you cannot present your own character information during that time but do not wish to drop, you may have a proxy do it for you, or contact any of the mods through other channels. Players who are on hiatus are of course exempt and can freely come to us to be added if they miss the deadline.
Okay, I did all that stuff! Now I just want to play!
We feel you. We want to play, too! We also understand that re-adding everybody is going to take some time and adjustment. So for the time being, we took the liberty of making a stickied
cross-posting post in the OOC comm, for everyone to keep track of each others' posts, just like we do with fourth wall events. We encourage everyone to track this post until the 19th [see the little bell icon?] at which point it will be un-stickied.
One last detail...
First: We're waiving activity check for the month of January due to LJ troubles, so if you were stressing, you can relax.
Second: Our lovely and talented head mod Stormy is now Sunny! (It matches her personality.) This doesn't really change anything, but it's good to know, right?
Welcome to a new chapter in Route 29's pokemon journey. We're glad to have you with us, guys. ♥
