"Really, really should have brought something warmer to wear," Merlin said to himself as he waited in the grassy area outside the city. He stuck his cold hands into his pockets, glancing over at the nearby tree his pokemon were camped under. Gedref had knelt in the soft dirt, nosing at the grass lazily, while Archimedes occasionally hopped to and fro, flapping his wings as he pecked at the ground. The two of them were, at his request, keeping an eye on the two eggs he'd gained custody of during his first day back in Violet. He wasn't sure if the hoothoot and ponyta would be any help if Sora's Charizard decided not to obey, but...Merlin decided he would think about that when the situation arose. It was probably better not to dwell on how potentially disastrous the morning could get.
After a few more minutes of pacing, Merlin frowned at the city entrance, debating whether he should video-call Sora.
