After a few seconds of staring, she rolled her shoulders back and sighed. "Does that mean you need my help with something, or that you're offering?" The resigned smile on her face was a pretty obvious indication that she already knew which one he'd meant, though.

Oh. Amber eyes cleared abruptly. It wasn't just that Ven was volunteering his help, he'd also gone ahead and suggested--
Wow. Maybe she should have gotten more sleep last night; she'd completely missed that. Either that, or she'd just been friends with the Keyblade wielder too long. Things were starting to go over her head just as much as they did his (which was a horrifying thought, considering Rise was generally the one who didn't miss subtleties).
She gave her friend a sheepish smile, not sure he'd even see it when his gaze was on the sky, and wrote down the earlier sentence to see how it fit. She could work with the 'easier with two' part, it might flow better...

"... You're right," she finally said, tipping her head back to rest against the well's edge. "If I can't even get down how I feel first, it doesn't matter how well it rhymes. It's not a song I'd be able to sing, anyway." She had to smile at herself, then at him. "It's what I want to say that needs to be out there, before anything else."

And explaining... that was more Naoto's forte. The 'girl stuff' came from teasing Kanji and telling him that one generally didn't declare "MAKE ME A MAN" to the object of their affections without a whole lot of progress first. Ven was just one of the few guys she'd met who remained innocent at fifteenRise's smile became a tad more thoughtful, and she wriggled down a little to try and get comfy against a stone wall. The attempt failed, but at least she'd tried. "Maybe if I try writing it like ( ... )
