Log:
Josh's pokemon journey so far had been slow going. He still refused to let his starter pokemon out of its pokeball and so he was left essentially defenseless. Of course, he himself wasn't useless and he'd found a rather sturdy fallen tree branch that he'd been using to scare off any wild pokemon that got too close, but he had to be extra cautious and so his trip to Cherrygrove seemed to be stretching on forever. And the torrential rain wasn't exactly helping him. He was currently stranded up in a tree he'd thankfully found empty. He let out a sigh.
If he still had his new found powers he probably wouldn't be in this mess. He'd made it rain in England after all, and he was willing to bet that he could have stopped rain too if he'd put his mind to it. But it was obvious that he wasn't going to be using any magic here.
But the more he thought about it, maybe the rain wasn't all bad. He couldn't use his water magic anymore, but he'd learned it just before coming here, become one with it in a way; he didn't need to feel afraid of water. But all of the wild pokemon in this area probably did: they were all probably taking refuge themselves at this point, which meant he could get the rest of the way to the city without any encounters. Assuming he didn't drown.
He decided it was worth the risk and climbed down from his tree. The water was almost up to his knees and it took all of ten seconds for him to be completely soaked to the bone. But he began to continue on his way toward Cherrygrove.
