It was the rain.
She had woken to find it was still raining. It had become worse during the even. Now, here she was waking through the rain, with a umbrella and boots the inn lady was so kind to lend her, to battle with a boy. Granted, the umbrella was no help, her hair was platered to her skull.
She couldn't even glare at Avice since the Pokemon was safely inside his Pokemon. Eventually, she found the clearing where the would both battle. With the rain, she could tell if Luke was there. Would it be lovely to come and find out he wasn't there. She huffed before calling out.
"Are you here?" Actually, it was more like shouting due to the rain.

Bugger. Shh, don't tell the Professor he was thinking that. Despite how much he didn't want to battle, a gentleman's always true to his word. And he wasn't about to let a member of Team Rocket go around hurting other trainers, not if he had anything to say about it!
"I'm -achoo! - I'm here!!" he called out to her.
Reply
"Hmm! Here I thought you wouldn't show." She brought the Pokeball from her purse. "So, are you ready to battle~"
Oh, she wouldn't hold back. If only to get back to the inn, she be dry and could perhaps some those cookie the Inn lady had baked.
Reply
Oh right, the battle.
"Of course I'd show! I wouldn't back out of this!" he nodded at the Teddiursa, his one reliable Pokemon. He'd use Dandy only if he had to, after all the little Pokemon would have a hard time fighting in the rain. Not to mention he wasn't also the most...reliable Pokemon.

Claws out, he pointed at he Teddiursa. This boy's Pokemon had made his Master mad. It was up to him to make sure it was taught a leasson.
"Good~ I do hope this battle proves that I am not part of that nasty Team Rocket."

It would be interesting, at least.
Meanwhile, Luke tried to peer at her through the rain. That water just kept getting higher, didn't it?
"We'll just see about that!" He looked back to his Pokemon, trying to remember how this all went again. It's not like he was really that used to commanding Pokemon to fight yet.
"Um, Mr. Bear! Try that one move...uh...fury swipes!"
Reply
Clearly, the boy hadn't had a proper battleyet. How boring. She try to finish this battle quickly.
"Avice, dodge and use quick attack."
Reply
They'd have to finish this quickly and then head for higher ground. He sneezed and caught a glimpse of Mr. Bear grunting in pain as Avice hit her dead-on.
"Mr. Bear!" the bear Pokemon stumbled back, giving the boy a glare. Give her orders already.
"Use that new move you just learned!" Mr. Bear tilted her head for a second, and then charged towards Avice for a faint attack.
Reply
"Avice brace for it."
Avice spread it feet apart as Mr. Bear used faintly attack. It grunted only a bit in pain, since it was a dark type, the damage was only minimal. But it managed to back him slide back a few inches.
"Avice Screech!"
Reply
The bear Pokemon stumbled back, stunned.
"O-oi, Mr. Bear! Pull yourself together!" Luke called to her, trying to get the ringing out of his own ears.

This was getting ridiculous. The rain was making going to make her dress see through. Her modesty would be compromised. She never her the end of it from her Papa...or the twins.
"Avice, now use Faint Attack!"
Of course, the water had become dangerously high so it slowed the Sneasel's movement.
Reply
"Mr. Bear, dodge it quick!"
Of course, dodging Avice's attack "quickly" would be difficult for the Teddiursa, as she had to practically swim out of the way.
Reply
"Avice! Quick movie so slow and attack!
Sneasel did have a height advantage but the water current made it difficult to move. He nearly lost his footing but managed to stay on it feet. It would not allow rain to make him lose.
Reply
Luke, on the other hand, was having difficult staying on his feet.
"It's getting too danger-!" he was cut off as the rain came down even harder, filling the area faster with more water.

She and Avice needed to leave the area now. The battle could be counted on until later. Right, now at that mattered was not drowning. She curse the fact the she had a human body. She could have easily transported herself back to the Inn.
"Avice we nee-" She was interrupted by the rain and water sloshing against her legs. It nearly sent her tumbling.

The Teddiursa was currently in the process of swimming back towards Luke, except the currently was pushing her too quickly. The boy was more focused on trying to grab her instead of trying to escape.
