It was always wonderful to meet friends for Lacus. In this world, people can rarely meet one another because the people here are always moving and always traveling it seemed. Though Lacus had probably known Eagle for a very short time --- she felt strangely comfortable talking to him. Maybe it was because they were very similar in disposition and interests.

As she promised, she made a small batch of macarons. She made them at the kitchen of the inn she and her friends were staying. The kitchen staff and owner were very hesitant at first but finally allowed her use of their kitchen. It took most of the night, but she did finish. They were lovely. Since Mister Pink chose the color, the color shouldn't be surprising ( ... )

Eagle hadn’t been waiting very long before Lacus arrived. Being a gentleman he stood when she entered the room and promptly answered her friendly greeting with one of his own ( ... )

“I think it is nice to finally be able to meet you in person too. With all of the travel this world seems to require it can be difficult for friends to end up in the same area.” Lacus was silent when he said those words and slowly smiled. It seemed she was not the only one thinking these thoughts. She couldn't help but giggle, trying very hard to quickly stifle it with very little success. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to laugh. But oddly, I was just thinking the exact same thing ( ... )

Its difficult for friendly generally outgoing types of people to suddenly find themselves isolated from others by distance. Even if the PokeGear was there and communication with the others was possible, it just wasn’t the same as speaking to some one in person. So when Lacus admitted to feeling the exact same thing, well, the happy coincidence just had to be laughed at! Eagle couldn’t very well become angry at her for laughing if he too couldn’t keep from doing it ( ... )

Lacus used to be a singing idol in her world, so she is generally often around other people --- and even after she retired she had surrounded herself with children. There was never really a time she could say that she was alone. Even now in this world, she was traveling with Midori and the others. "Yes. You could say that. Though, I can't say that I am a stranger to living a simple life. I had spent two years on Earth with Kira, Reverand Malchio and the children in a cabin by the beach ( ... )

Eagle made sure Lacus was seated comfortably before looking back at Mr. Pink with an apologetic ‘Sorry for ignoring you until now’ kind of expression. He hadn’t meant to but with the conversation and sweets he hadn’t been able to pick up the Pokemon like Mr. Pink had wanted him to earlier. This is a situation he corrects now as he picked up the little guy and slipped him a secret treat… one more candy couldn’t hurt could it ( ... )

"I will thank him myself when I can, " Lacus assured him, amused by Mister Pink's glee. "Eh? Too much salt? Oh my, what happened ( ... )

“Whether you are young or not, it is always a sad thing to loose important people… though it probably is harder on children. They don’t always understand why things like that have to happen.” Lacus is smiled at ( ... )

"It was very difficult," Lacus admitted quietly. She remembered those times vividly. A lot of the children were angry and distraught. Young boys refused to cooperate and bullied the younger children. The Coordinator boys and Natural boys divided and fighting, blaming the other for the death of their parents. Little girls afraid and crying, having nightmares of soldiers coming to get them ( ... )

Eagle nods and listens politely to her story. Having to deal with the loss of those children’s parents, a war, and loosing her own father… So much in such a short period of time. It was vastly different than his own upbringing. His mother had died when he was too young to really remember her but his father had always been around and it had been a peaceful entirely war free childhood ( ... )
