[ ... One would think Fuji would have mentioned the guy's name, because Rise didn't expect Yukimura to be the person she was supposed to meet. In fact, she's not even sure how this is going to go. At the very least, she's dressed athletically, with sneakers instead of sandals or school shoes and the rest being similar to a typical gym uniform. ]

... W-whoa, wait-- what happened to your foot?

We haven't been waiting that long. [Though of course, he notices the ankle as well. Like Fuji, he has a tennis bag slung over one shoulder - and, always prepared, he brought extra rackets. You never know when you might need to play a sudden street tennis match, after all.] Can you play like that, Fuji?

[What is telling people the entire situation? He smiles at Rise, genial-]

Afternoon, Rise -- good to see you, too. [And he turns to Yukimura, equally genial-] And not unless I develop my own version of the Tezuka zone, no. You don't mind if Rise acts as my proxy, do you?

[ she's torn between WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOURSELF and just plain glaring-- which morphs into... well, even Rise would be hard-pressed to give her current expression a name. Something between confusion and realization and doubt and annoyance because FUJIIIIIIIII... ]

You could've given me a name a week ago! And seriously, what did you do to yourself this time?

No, I suppose I don't. [Though Yukimura will now be slightly disappointed at losing an opportunity to play Fuji. Still, teaching someone new tennis might be fun too.] I have to echo that question, though - what happened to you?

[a bit of a laugh] In my defense, even I'd have a hard time explaining why a good portion of the ruins caved in on us.

It's almost healed, though, so I wouldn't think too hard on it. [giving the sky a glance, he turns back.] Anyway, if everyone's satisfied, shall we move onto a court?

[ she's glancing at his ankle, almost thoughtfully, but it's a brief movement and then Rise stretches and turns her attention to Yukimura. Don't be fooled, Fuji, she'll be making sure you're careful on that foot. ]

I guess I'm in your hands!

[After giving Fuji another measuring look, he smiles at Rise.] I guess you are. Have you ever played tennis before? It's really very simple. There's a court nearby, I believe.

[It's probably safe to assume that Yukimura knows where every tennis court in Goldenrod City is by now.]

[he shrugs helplessly, a bit of laughter. really, he knew these two would get along. allowing for Rise to answer for herself, he'll start walking along with them.]

Never played before in my life! [ Rise admits this cheerfully as she falls in step between the two boys. ] But I've seen it played before. And this is the first time in awhile that I've... had the time to play anything.

Then we'll have to start from the basics. [Yukimura keeps their pace slow enough that Fuji can keep up easily.] Have you been busy traveling?

[and he appreciates this, in his own way. a hum--] As far as I could see, she's certainly had her fair share of it. [turning to Rise--] Did you ever get the chance to introduce him to your singing?

[ it's not something Rise brings up often here, so she looks vaguely rueful as she glances back at Fuji, then over to Yukimura. ] It never came up-- sorry for not talking about it before, but I'm an idol. So my schedule didn't really include a whole lot besides work.

An idol? That must have been difficult. [Yukimura's not really the idol fan type, but he realizes it must have taken a lot of hard work, and he can respect that.] Then is this a bit like a vacation for you?

[a bit of a chuckle to himself] Flaming horses, milking Miltanks, weight loss marathons...

[ hi, Fuji. Hope you don't mind getting a discreet elbow to the gut. ]

It's definitely different! I can't slack off here either, though.
