Without You - Murasaki Photostory

I decided to try a short photostory for Murasaki a few weeks ago. Frankly, as much as I love photography I suck at it. I have no natural knack for it. I feel the pictures do no really expres the story well, could just be me. I'll blame it on lack of practice. But Kitty wanted me to post them anyway, so here it is.

Well, it's a technicallity. I want to get a Ka'leth, but much like Kaith it has to be the perfect sculpt. And I haven't seen that sculpt yet.

Much like Kaith, Ka'leth has a special place in my heart, so I can't just throw any old sculpt in the pot and use it. Which seems funny since I wasn't even sure I liked the Xi sculpt when I bought it for Murasaki and she's one of my favorites too.

But Ka'leth and Ke'tchi... well I just gotta do them right.

Yeah, poor Murasaki, I'm her creator. ;)

Yeah, I know that feeling. And Ka'leth is even harder because not only does he have little pointed ears, he's got tan skin. *headdesk* So the chances of finding a sculpt with all of the right qualities is practically nil, which means he'll probably have to have the ears modded on and be dyed tan. What a pain. >_

First you have to find the right face! Oi! That's hard enough. I'll deal with modded ears and dying if I could just find the right face.

Tan is hard to find anyway isn't it? Pointed ears left out of the picture.

Exactly. x_x And what size is he going to be anyway? He's taller than Murasaki, but not as tall as an SD, right?

Yes, tan is hard to find. Not many companies do it.

Well SD would be the best option, but really we'd just have to get him in the size the awesome sculpt came in and express our condolences that they aren't closer in size. Either that or we'd need to get the tallest MSD body we can find. I'd say mod an SD female body (Their shorter right?) but I've never seen a modded female to male body that actually looked right and as mentioned before Ka'leth would have to be pretty near perfect to make me happy.

I wonder why tan is so hard to find. How would you die a doll tan? Dip him in tea? Like they do fabric?

Kaith's is the tallest MSD body I could find, at 46cm.

Maybe you'll need to do what I'm doing, which is get a Junior Delf body and stick the head you want on it. It's an odd size, at 56cm.

You can use tea to dye a doll, yes. I use RIT dye. :)

I just thought for tan it would work nicely. Rit brown seems so much darker, though it may not be.

So really all I need is a head? I still don't think I've seen a Ka'leth head. Yet.
