A/N:This is for lovetoosweet who wanted me to write this, and I actually used air. I want to thank my friend Gladyssuper_color who helped me when I was stuck writting this.

After Ryutaro re-read the letter he let out a groan. There was no way in hell that he could give Chinen that. It sounded way too cheesy, and besides he really didn’t want to ruin his friendship with the boy. HE was being honest in the letter though, he really did want Chinen to be happy, and if he confessed, things would probably get awkward, and Chinen wouldn’t want to hang out with him anymore. So in the end he decided that he wasn’t going to give him the letter.

Ryutaro groaned. ‘Why is all this love business so complicated’ he thought. He finally looked up from the letter and took a look at his scenery. He was sitting down in a bench in a nearby park from his house. The park seemed so empty, probably since it was a little cold, but yet the view looked so beautiful.

“Boo!!! ” said a voice so close to his ear.

Ryutaro jumped when he heard the voice. He was so into his thoughts and the beautiful scenery in front of him that he hadn’t heard anyone approach him. His brain went in over drive. Was someone out there really trying to be cruel to him today?

“Ryu-chan, are you alright” Chinen asked him. Ryutaro instinctively tighten his hold on the letter. Of all the people that could have approached him today at the park, it had to be the one person that he was crushing on. The worst part was that since he didn’t see him coming, he still had the damn letter in his hands.

“Ryu-chan” Chinen repeated while poking Ryutaro’s cheeks.

“Huh, what” Ryutaro finally answered.

“Are you alright? You seemed distracted” Chinen said. Ryutaro just nodded. He needs to find a way to hide the letter before Chinen see’s it.
“Oh, a letter, who is it for Ryu-chan? Is it a secret lover?”

At hearing Chinen’s words Ryutaro blushed. ‘Too much for him not seeing it’ Ryutaro thought.

“Can I see it” Chinen asked with such an interested voice.

“No” Ryutaro quickly yelled. He had decided already that he wasn’t going to show Chinen the letter, and he wasn’t going to back down now.

“Why not?” Chinen pouted. Ryutaro had to look away. That pout was one of his biggest weakness and made him do anything Chinen wanted.

“Please” Chinen kept on insisting but of course Ryutaro kept saying no.

At that moment though, a little gust of wind came and blew the letter away from Ryutaro’s hand. Ryutaro looked down to his hands where the letter was supposed to be and then his eyes widened. The letter was gone. He looked up only to see that Chinen had caught the letter and was busy reading it. If it were possible he felt as if his eyes had widened even more. Fate was really being cruel to him today. Ryutaro didn’t know what to do. Should he get the letter away from Chinen or should he just start running away? He sat there frozen as Chinen kept reading the letter.

After some minutes, which felt like hours to Ryutaro, Chinen looked up from the letter and stared straight into Ryutaro’s eyes. Ryutaro gulped. He didn’t know what to think. Chinen staring at him like that was making him nervous.

“Umm… I can explain” Ryutaro said. Chinen just kept staring at him with an indifference look on his face. Ryutaro felt as if his worst nightmare was coming true. This was it, he thought, the end of his friendship with Chinen. He, however, was going to try to explain this and hopefully salvage their friendship.

“You weren’t supposed to see the letter. Well I mean, it was for you, but you weren’t supposed to see it, not yet at least or maybe never. I mean, what I wrote in the letter, it’s all true. But I’m sorry; really, I promise I won’t do anything else to ruin our friendship. Please, juts forget about the letter because….”” Ryutaro kept on rumbling as he looked down at his hands.

Ryutaro could feel his hear beat going faster. He was nervous. No, nervous was an understatement. It wasn’t even helping that Chinen was acting so indifferent. He wished he would say something, anything really so that this could be all over.

“So the letter, it’s true then” Chinen asked in a neutral voice.

All Ryutaro could do was nod. He was really regretting writing the letter already. How stupid can he be? He knew from the very beginning that there was a big possibility that he wasn’t going to give Chinen the letter. Yet he went ahead with it, and now he was stuck in a very awkward situation.

“I’m really sorry, really” Ryutaro kept on saying over and over again.

“Stupid” Chinen said while smiling. “You could have just told me you know” then he proceed to give Ryutaro a kiss on the cheek. “I really love Ryu-chan too”

Ryutaro felt a smile creeping on his face. He felt so happy, especially after Chinen grabbed his hand and laced their fingers together.
“Ryu-chan is just like the air for me. I need it to breathe”

After that, both boys stayed sitting in that bench in the park, with their hands interlaced together just watching the scenery in front of them. And when the wind blew a little stronger Chinen got closer to Ryutaro and just snuggled next to him.
