Well, drama at KingPin today!
As we know, I (like all old staff) don't like the fact that new venue manager Hurricane Wendy has come in with all her own staff who are mostly incompetent and on about $2 an hour more than us.
Well one of her new staff decided to walk out today, with no warning! She cracked the shits. Kicked the dishwasher door in. Signed off. And walked out.
The duty manager didn't know til 5 minutes later.
So why did she crack a spat? Well, [i]3 hours earlier[/i] me and her had a bit of an exchange. Not a fight. But from my point of view, she had a go at me a few times and I simply asserted that I wasn't going to be pushed around.
Then I was telling the kitchen hand about my meeting with the venue manager the other day (which was naturally in a heated tone because of the issues I have), and Miss Cranky Staff Member overheard and thought I was talking about her.
Fast forward almost 3 hours:
Miss Cranky was getting some drinks for her party, and I dodged her. That was all. I don't even remember doing it because it's just what everyone does when someone is pouring drinks/carrying jugs - you dodge them so you don't hit them, sending drinks flying. The kitchen hand then saw Miss Cranky turn around and give me a "murderous look." The next thing anyone knew, she was in the kitchen kicking the door of the dishwasher, calling me names and saying she was "fucking leaving".
And she did. Which is a write up offence and the manager on duty is going to report it and if he doesn't then the kitchen hand is going to report the language she was using talking about me. And the night manager, on hearing the story said he was going to report it to the top! To Macquarie!
Job is driving me insane, but I got love there.
...I'm worried she has ratted on the venue manager with all sorts of bullshit stories. I know I want to leave anyway, but I don't want to leave under worse circumstances than they already were
