All the students are practicing for their cultural/ sports festivals. Today there are no classes at all. It is a full day practice. It's pretty fun to see them, but it's so hot outside that it makes me sleepy. The actual cultural festival will be on Thursday and Friday. The sports festival will be on Saturday.. I'm in Miyazaki City, in Kuyshu Island. Actually, more importantly, I'm at the school that I am working at. Everyone here has been extrememly nice. I've been able to open up my bank account and get a cellpone, although it took forever for them t agree to give it to me because I don't have my alien resident card in yet. I am soooo jet lagged. I left on Saturday morning. The flight was pretty good. It was turbulent at times, but it went all right. My predecessor (from the Jet program) was asking for a good amount of money for the stuff he was leaving behind in the apartment when he goes back home to Ireland. I went to my seminar yesterday. They put us at a table with the people who are going to live around our area. Basically, I was with the Miyazaki prefecture people, one girl for Okinawa and 2 guys who were just upgrading from being alternates so they didn't know where the heck they were going. Last week I went on my family vacation to Mexico (Playa Del Carmen).
