Twofer!
Two in a row here we go.
I think I have finalized everything with Antiguera Spanish Academy today, it's a little unclear because I got simultanious emails but I think I should be good. If not, well I guess I'll be learning Spanish on my own! Haha. But for real, I'm pretty excited. It's a shame Gram gave me this Dark Star Safari, because it's super intersting and making me very excited for the one day that I hope to make it to Africa, but I should probably start doing more readings about Guatemala and Central America. It's okay though, I have time. It feels good to read again, it's been about a year since I really sat down with a book. I get distracted easily still, but I just have to power through. I did have the though of it how nice a gift it is to give somebody a book. I really took that for granted for a long time.
Beyond that today was pretty lowkey. Procrastinated on going to the gym, but I still went! So that's a win. While doing barbell shrugs I gave myself a headache that has stuck around for a while. My headaches have gotten worse since I've aged, I'm gonna start writing down when I get them just in case this is a terrible thing. Rather than shy away from things that scare me, I want to push towards them. More knolwedge and more data is power.
Learned today that "stallion" is just a word for an uncircumsised horse. Who knew! Thanks Frederick Douglas High School in Lexington. I always thought it just meaned that it was a glamorous horse that people rode on beaches, usually black.
Woke to the unpleasant surprise that I had forgotten to cancel my Plated order for this week! I really do miss doing the plated meals, but I shouldn't be spending that cash. Ahh well, it will make for a flavorful week. Speaking of that cash, Jack was trying to get me to come back to SWK again, but I really don't think I could do it. Signature room really did kind of spoil me, the work is SO easy for the money that I make that I really just can't justify leaving it unless it is for something that I truely WANT to do. We'll see, I mean, I don't want to be in the restaurant industry forever, but if I have to be in it for now this is a pretty good gig. I just need to remember that when I'm getting worn down next Decemeber. Or should I say, proximo diciembre!
