If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to be? I'd want to be in Hawaii. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, because it's so exotic. I also want to go because there is water all over the islands, and I've never seen an ocean before, since I live in Iowa. I want to.., though.
Any guilty pleasures?: Chocolate. That and the internet. I'm spoiled with the internet. I'm always on the internet. I'm always talking to friends and messing around on LiveJournal. And messing with my communities. And chocoloate because it just spoils me, and I usually have a craving for it.

-opinions-
George Bush: I don't like him. Plain and simple. I don't think we should be in the war, yet I'll support the troops since they are there. I have a few older friends who are over in Iraq, and I miss them, but that's not even where my hatred starts. I don't want him dead or anything, I just don't agree that he's not for abortion or gay marriage. Neither is Kerry, but Kerry at least was a bit more open to the ideas. Bush doesn't support stem cell research either, and Bush has been proven (by his actions, not some weird scientific study) to act on impulse without thinking.

John Kerry: I prefer Kerry, like I said earlier. He at least is thinking about gay marriages, and Bush can't even pronounce nuclear. Like the song says, that really does scare me. Well, either way, I would have liked it better if Kerry had one. He was also for teacher benefits.

Liberals: *shrugs* I don't like them, but it's a personal opinion. I'm not going to start rallys because of their beliefs.

War: I don't believe we should be in the war. But since most of them are forced to be there, even though they don't want to be, I support them. The troops, not the decision, if that makes any sense at all. Many of them are missing their families, and yet we can do a lot to help them, even if we don't believe that going to the war in the first place was the right thing to do.

Racism: Racism is unacceptable. Everyone is equal. End of story.

Homophobia: How in the world you can be angered/hate homosexual people is beyond me. Just today, my best male friend confessed his homosexuality. I'm surprised, sure, but I'm not afraid of him. He's still the same person, and I'll always love him the same.

Gay marriages: They're people too. Male/Male or Female/Female, either way, they see something in the other person that they like and admire. 3% of our US population is openly homosexual. And that doesn't seem like much, but saying that we have about 293 million, or more people in the US, then that's about 300,000 people who are OPEN about it. Imagine the rest of the people who hide their sexuality! And they hide it for a good reason, I suppose. Did you know that homosexual people aren't allowed in the military and allowed to be open about it? Just because their gay. It’s the “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” rule. ..And here I thought honesty was valued in our country. It's a stupid rule, and it singles out people. But, back to the point, same sex marriages should be allowed. Bush wants to ban same-sex marriages, and I sincerely hope he doesn’t succeed in that plan.

Scott Peterson: I don't see HOW this happened? Is our world REALLY that stupid anymore? That's terrible...That IS...The world has gone to shit...

Drugs: They are bad for you. I, myself, won't even take anymore drugs, even Advil, because of the effects they have on me. Maybe my body's just weak against drugs and such, but I get dizzy when any of them enters my system. It's something I'd like to get rid of, but I can't, so I don't take drugs anymore. They totally mess with your mind, and many people have died from them. If you want to be a complete idiot and waste your life, this is the way to do it.

Legalization of marijuana: Why in the WORLD would we legalize this?? It's just a stupid idea. Do we really need MORE people acting like their high and on crack? ..Uh. No. We don't.

Abortion: I think they should be allowed, but not used as a form of birth control. Yes, there's always adoptions, but we already HAVE enough people in adoption centers. Besides, those who don't get adopted are sometimes sent to foster care, and one of my friends was a foster child. He hated every minute of it. But, besides the point, abortions should be allowed, because bringing a child into the world that you aren't ready to take care of isn't going to get you anywhere, but just make the child miserable, and I'd hate to be miserable.

Nu-metal: I don't like this kind of music...To me, it's just boring..

Reality TV: There's going to be no more Reality. We're going to FILM it all. Besides, this ISN'T reality. Who swallows bugs in reality? Who gets stuck doing dangerous stunts in reality? ..Uh..No one. What a stupid process. This fad should pass soon. Everyone's getting tired of it.

Straightedge: What's wrong with this? We need more people like this in the world. Keeping people out of drugs is always a helpful thing to do. We don't need more people who are high and out and killing against their own mind's sense.

Self-mutilation and suicide: It's such a sad thing that teenagers are committing suicide. Then again, I guess I have no place to talk. I've already tried it twice. Even after all the "It's not the right thing to do", it still felt correct and right to me. Thankfully, I guess, it didn't work. I'm happy that it didn't. Well, right now I am. But being as I have manic-depressive disorder, I switch from being really happy, to being really depressed quite easily. Then I know that I'll beat myself up for not being dead. I used to cut myself, but I’ve stopped. No matter what nobody says, it’s hard to quit, even though you wouldn’t think it is. One of my friends recently went to the counselor because one of her friends told the counselor what she was doing: cutting herself. She’s still trying to stop, but it’s hard for her. If you don’t cut, then please don’t get into it. It’s hard to stop.

Rating communities: I don't have a problem with these, as long as you watch what you apply to. It's just getting practice with people skills and knowing what people will want from you later in life. I wouldn't apply to stupid ones, though, like other ones that I've seen where it ENCOURAGES being a bitch. That's just stupid. I like the ones that encourage intelligence, and inner beauty.

DDR: I LOVE this game, although I'm not the best at it with the dance pad. I hate the dance pad, because I can only do "Standard" mode without totally screwing it up. With my fingers, I can do do hard and ace it.

Pre-martial sex: It's alright with me, as I don't believe in the Bible, or Christ, which-that and morals- are the main thing that keep many teens from participating. Don't get me wrong. You shouldn't be going around getting laid by all the people you can find, but it's alright if you've found a person you love, and you want to be closer to them. And either way you go, always use protection. Too many diseases anymore that are transmitted through sex.

Religion, "God", and The Bible: I don't believe there is a God. Maybe it's just me, but this whole "deity" thing just doesn't suit me. I believe in a few different things though. For explaining God, there's always Pascal's theory which states that "People believe in God for the fear of going to hell if they do not". Well, if I'm going to go to hell when I die, that's what I deserve. Nothing I can do will change that, because I'm not going to pretend to be something I'm not. There's also the fact of human psychology that will explain that humans (whether they realize it or not) will try to find something they can depend on to be there when they're lonely or down and will forgive them no matter what. Hence, we make friends. But there's always that God to believe in. But I don't want to this to be a whole argument, because that's just my side.

Psychology and psychiatry: As stated above, this is an interest of mine. I love to learn how the mind works and how it functions. I love to know how body language affects what you really think about a person. I wish everyone would study more of this, to learn exactly how to approach a person, and how to diagnose their own feelings.

Eminem: Why should I have an opinion on him? He's an awesome artist. I love "Cleaning Out my Closet". Although some people say he isn't a good artist, and I can see their point, but I listen to his lyrics, and all they are is rants. And rants that no one else will SAY for fear of being chased and put down like everyone does to Eminem.

Variety of music taste: I LOVE variety. Variety shows an open mind. If you just like one kind of music, then you're a bit close-minded. I don't prefer rock, or heavy metal, but I'll still listen to it without complaint.

Canada: ...How in hell do I have an opinion on this?? ..*shrugs* I don't know..

Censorship and the FCC: Well, I don't see much of the point of it. Most children who end up seeing a pornographic movie, or hearing explicit lyrics already KNOW what they're blocking out. Besides, by blocking it out, you're telling them they shouldn't hear/see it, and that just makes them try to find out MORE! If everyone becomes open about such issues as sex and language, it might be a better world. We shouldn't hide things.

Queen Latifah: She's a good actress who's comfortable in the skin she's in. A complete role model for teenagers instead of the stick-thin models.

Michael Moore: It's alright...*shrugs*

Rotting Christ (the band): Never heard them, but I'll try to find them to listen to right after I get done with this application.

Don't want to. As much as people say it doesn't effect what a person votes, it still does. So I'll wait until, if, or when, I'm accepted.
