If your solution to some problem relies on "If everyone would just..." then you do not have a solution. Everyone is not going to just. At not time in the history of the universe has everyone just, and they're not going to start now.

The end game is "you'll have to take the AIs word for it", with pretty much everything. Even with perfect interpretability and alignment, there simply is a max complexity we can grasp.

When people copy you, the best strategy is usually to ignore them. People who copy you are (a) unoriginal and (b) opportunists, and those are both strong predictors of failure. If you wait them out, they'll eventually drop away.
