Sasuke as popular but not insanely popular - after all, he's portrayed in canon as extremely polarizing, so to me, in a setting as difficult as high school I imagined many girls would really be fascinated by him, but many boys would not care for him at all - I agree SO much with this! I think this is how the guys feel in the actual anime! Well, except for NarutoAnd I do think she'd come across as more forceful and take charge when she's well...more comfortable with herself and not trying to make a good impression in-front of people (not that it's a bad thing to do; because well most people do want to make a good impression and tend to "tone" themselves down)! I don't think the kiss was too sugary at all, it felt appropriate! That's what I like most about it ( ... )

Definitely. Sakura seems like the kind of girl who'd force herself to put on an act of nonchalance or politeness, but beneath it probably really struggle not to give her opinion or take charge, haha. I like that about her. I think that's the hugest difference between Sakura and say, someone like Ino. Ino is way more outgoing with her true personality, whereas Sakura can be more discreet until, as you said, she's more comfortable showing who she is. That's totally one of the reasons I like her so much! :D
You are totally right. I think the fandom would rejoice if Kishi did something as cool as a short high school-AU version of Naruto. The Gakuen ending is one of my favorites too. And with the way the regular story's been going (as in, lack of Sasuke, general morbidness, foreshadowing of angsty ending) we deserve it! Hahaha.

It's the one aspect of her character (out of many!) that I find so realistic and that I can somewhat relate to. I love Ino as well, and the differences between Sakura and her which makes their friendship so interesting ( ... )
