California Trip...
Well... as you can tell, i'm back from California.
It was totally awesome!
It began at the airport... Connor really liked the moving sidewalks.
We connected in Phoenix (goddamn giant cactuses... cacti... whatever) and we eventually ended up in California. We got our rental car... holy crap, a giant white 12 person van. We called it the 'prison van'. Then we went to the hotel, unpacked, went out to eat, and went grocery shopping with Auntie Toody. Woot.
The next day we went to Disney's California Adventure.
Marissa is still terrified by ferris wheels...
Me and the girls went to Tower of Terror while Mom and Dad took the babies to see Playhouse Disney Live.
Marissa, Brianna, and Liza were scared.
Connor got to ride a carousel for the first time ever.
On Thursday we went to the actual Disneyland. Sleeping Beauty's Castle is cool... but I still like Cinderella's Castle in WDW better.
Look! It's Eyore!
It's a world of laughter, a world of tears. It's a world of hopes and a world of fears. There's so much that we share that it's time we're aware it's a small world after all!!!!!
Hey! The Matterhorn! A very exciting thing to see... so we decided to hop in line.
Doesn't look very scary when you first get in your seat.
It's an old ride... how bad could it be, right?
OH! I guess it was a little intense. Intense as in... the first time I was thrashed from one side to the other, I yelled "Holy Shit!" in Disneyland.... Brianna looks pretty freaked out too.
I finally found my grail. Dun dun dun!!!! Mr. Toad's Wild Ride! Extinct in WDW but still alive in Disneyland.
Off to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad... waiting in line we see a water fountain that is clogged and filled with water. "Hey, it looks like the bowl of Holy water at church.".... okay everybody! Pose! Catholic Chic!
And look at what you find while riding Splash Mountain!
At the end of the night, we watched the Parade of Dreams. Connor loved it.
We went back to the hotel where Brianna and Noah fell asleep...
On Friday we went to check out Rodeo Drive... very boring for me, but the girls loved it.
It was hot that day so we decided to head for the pool after shopping.
The girls tanned...
I went swimming with Connor.
And that night my dad and I went to a Dodger Game...
L.A. Dodgers vs. Anaheim Angels. Intense and the Dodgers crushed the Angels... yay!
Meanwhile, the rest of the family went to Hollywood Blvd. I don't have those pics up yet because they aren't from my camera.... aww...
On Saturday... first everyone played with the rental wheelchair...
Then we went to Venice Beach. Where Brianna looks oh-so-natural...
Then we went to Auntie Toody's birthday party at Jennifer's (my cousin) house.
Lots of alcohol was served.
We ate cake...
Nick (my cousin) taught Auntie Toody how to do the electric slide.
And then he decided I needed to learn how to dance.
The next day (Sunday) we all went to Hollywood Blvd.
I found Harrison Ford's star
... and Walt Disney's star!
Then a pirate (Captain Jack Sparrow) decided to sneak up behind Marissa.
That night we had dinner at Denny's and my sisters decided we needed a picture of them all doing their impression of the girl in 'The Ring' that is found in the closet.
And at the hotel, Brianna and Lindsay dressed up like hookers and said they were gonna go walk around downtown.
On Monday we went to Universal Studios.
We met Spongebob.
Liza and Marissa caught a shark (j/k)
Met King Kong
... and molested the boys from Apollo 13.
There was clear disregard for rules and safety regulations (yay!).
And on Tuesday we flew back home with our stolen 3-D glasses from Disneyland's 'Honey I Shrunk the Audience'.
