I'm currently working on a piece of writing that seems to be a nexus for all of my characters to congregate. Working might not be the right word, actually.
Have you ever gotten to a place in your writing where you have all the ideas for what comes next and who will go where and you've gotten your main character to the place where all of the action is going to take place only to find that the bridge connecting him to the spot where everything is going to start happening just-doesn't materialize? That's where I am. Stuck looking at the rest of my plot trying to coax, coerce or just plain shove a character into cooperation so I can get on with the rest of the writing. None of the other writing projects seem at all inclined to work any better this evening, either.
I know that I'll figure it out eventually, but it's just so stinking frustrating that I'm stymied right now and can't yet write my way through to the rest of it.
If only fictional characters would accept food bribery.
