continuing small victories and a smidge of hopeful furnishing

There is an Art-O-Mat in my city. I've been past it several times and each time, I really wanted to buy at least one or two of the pieces in it, but I just didn't have the cash on me. This week, I finally did. My world is happier with my little $5 piece of art that I purchased out of a recommissioned cigarette machine. I find it very cool that something that used to sell a product that could be so distructive is now used to spread some harmless happiness.

The small victories continue. Today, I carried my own groceries. That might not sound like much, but when you're living with lifting restrictions it's a huge deal.

I've also begun furnishing the entertainment room of the Hobbit Hole of my dreams before I've actually started building it. Mostly, it's because when I was a kid, we used to have two gigantic floor pillows that I used all the time. Eventually they got worn out and had to be thrown away, but I still like floor cushions to this day. I found three big, square ones on clearance today, so I bought them.

I'm feeling a little tired, but I know that's mostly because I did some running around this week, and it's been a really long time since I had the energy to do that. Honestly, it feels pretty darn good to be able to.
