Where in the world
I realize that very few people understand my obsession with my moped. It's not a very fast vehicle, nor is it very big, but it's a blast to ride. There's something about being able to see the area where you live on two wheels, without an glass or steel or plastic between you and the air and sunlight. There's something to be said for having a limited speed when traveling, because you notice so much more around you, like the flowers people have planted in their yard, and the smells of restaurants gearing up for a lunch rush, and all the ruts and dents and quirks of the road around you.
Sure, there are places that I want to see and all kinds of areas that I want to explore. I'd love to go get my geek on at conventions all over the country, but I also know that without being able to be happy right where I am, I'm not going to be able to be happy anywhere else.
