So...um...I've been pretty lousy at posting anything but Sunday Scribblings posts here lately. I do realize that. I'll try to correct it, but it's going to take a while. In fact, I probably won't be returning to the regular schedule until after November. I'm participating in NaNoWriMo this year, once again, which will make this the fifth time that I'll write 50,000 words (or more) in thirty days. I'm still making up my mind over which idea I'll be working on.
Things were very stressful at work the last three weeks or so. One of my coworks had family emergencies to deal with (which were totally understandable and not his fault in any way), and thus left me as the sole member of support staff for a while there. It wasn't that I couldn't handle it, it was just that it was a lot to handle. I'm almost all the way caught up now, but I was starting to get a bit worried.
I have also gotten my own copy of "Rayman Raving Rabbids" which I have decided is the most awesome video game ever. Basically, it's a bunch of mini-games that, at most, involve three buttons on the controller (most involve only one or two) and the whole goal is to dispose of evil bunnies intent on getting rid of you first. It's like participating in a "Looney Tunes" cartoon. Sometimes, you get to be the Roadrunner, sometimes, you end up Wile E Coyote. With enough attempts, you can conquer each mini game and get closer to unlocking the entire game. It's challenging without being impossible and, honestly, it's hilarious. And, yes, a lot of my time I would probably have been blogging has been devoted to killing evil bunnies!
Last Sunday, I fell down the stairs, resulting in a sprained ankle, bruises on my back, and rugburn in places I'm grateful no one can see. I've been limping arond all week because of it.
I'm also working on making my dad an action figure of his alter ego to go with his comic book that I drew him for Father's Day. I'm in the process of sewing itty bitty bib overalls, a little work shirt, and a little rainsuit for the action figure. My mom is getting a little MP3 player that I'm loading up with all of her favorite music. I'm pretty sure that she's going to think it's one of the coolest presents she's ever gotten.
"Supernatural" season four has been amazing so far. I still love wathing Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Mark C. Collier guest-starred on CSI: Miami, so of course I had to tape it. It made me all warm and happy inside. Now, if they'd just find some regular work for him so I could watch him weekly and then hire Jordan Woolley for something, I'd be very happy. Okay reasonably happy.
I have big lists of DVDs that need released (in a manner in which I can afford to purchase them) and the big list of books to get, then I'll probably be so happy, I'll get booted off the planet for being entirely too chipper.
So, I'll try to post more frequently. It could lead to less rambling.
