Back home blues
Man, the weather in Scotland stinks!
I'm feeling rather blue now that I'm back home from my holidays. I've been used to gorgeous sunshine for the past 7 days that now it's gone, I think I'm experiencing withdrawals. Aaagh, i need a sunbeam fix!
The holiday was fab and just what I needed. For one reason and another, and due to various circumstances, I hadn't had a day's holiday since early last November. So it was well overdue.
Much time was spent just chillin by the pool, swimmin in the pool, people-watchin in cafes and down by the beach, visitin the old town and eatin out. A lot of laughs were had. Big thanks to my holiday companions, K S & L, for a totally wicked time.
I finished the Bell Jar while I was there which is an excellent little book. It's interesting how matter of factly the main character narrates her experience of mental health difficulties and the awful things this drove her to do. She makes the senseless sound so sensible.
I'm now reading a ghastly book that I picked up at the airport flying back. It's called Utopia - so far I'm thinking Jurassic Park meets Point Horror. But hey, I paid my 12.50 Euros for it so am determined to finish it.
Well it's back to work for me tomorrow, so, I best go get tucked up in bed and get plenty of rest. Who knows what horrors await me? On my desk? In my inbox? On my voicemail? Eeek. Fingers crossed it'll all be alright.
