Jesusita fire is going on in SB and each evening it's been expanding.
I was evacuated last night, as was thousands of others. The eastern and western flanks now extend the entire length of Santa Barbara - but currently up in the hills. It's Montecito to Goleta. The areas most at risk aren't even pinpointed to either area, it's all the areas. Boo.
About 75 homes lost, and from word last night it included homes just to the right of 154. My place is just to the right of 154. Later, I got word that those homes were higher up, on La Vista. That's not just to the right of 154, but the road does curve towards 154, so my friends think those were the structures seen on fire.
I'm staying with friends in Ellwood in northern Goleta. It's just a few blocks from my work. And I have a huge deadline tonight at midnight.
