A Sad Fact Re Prison Inmates

While researching something for a project I'm working on I came across a startling statistic that says that 90% of all prison inmates where born to teenage mothers. (This figure actually came from a study done by one of the governmental departments.)

Random thought, wouldn't decreasing teenage pregnancy and providing more support for teenage mothers actually decrease crime?
