The future is in eggs

I now have three new editions to the "drama" section of my bookshelf: Ibsen(4), Ionesco(3) and Shakespeare's Hamlet. I think that maybe I'll take Rhinoceros with me on my commute tomorrow.

An idea for a play has been rolling around in the back of my head, but I'm having troubles getting it to cooperate with my pen. It would be about all the strange characters I meet on the T, but my problem is that I don't think I have enough perspective to form very believable characters. Maybe I should stop worrying about that and just "do it". Or maybe I could spend hours riding the T staring at people and asking them weird questions, such as how they feel about jumbo shrimp.

Two things I'm looking forward to: going to a poetry slam at the Cantab Lounge on some Wednesday soon, and seeing Good Bye, Lenin!, which will be visiting the Coolidge Corner Theatre March 26th. The Return also received rave reviews, but somehow I'm not as excited to see that one.

Today we discovered that Slug is really just a rat in cat's clothing. She tried to make herself comfortable in the rats' cage. She just moseyed right on through the little doorway and into their living quarters! And they didn't even extend a formal invitation! How rude! But the best part of all is that she didn't try to lunch upon those little fur-balls. In fact, she seems rather scared of them. I think she just wants to be their roommate.

Oh! I dread tomorrow because I hate my job. Where is Spaceman Spiff when I need him?
