The Magnetic Fields are releasing a new album, and they will be performing at Berklee in May! Things are looking up up up!
I just want to leave a quick comment about last Saturday night's film experience. We watched Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah. I think I liked King Ghidorah better with one mechanical head (he has three heads in all, in case you were curious). I would think that any aspiring filmmaker would find hope in watching films like Godzilla. All you really need is a convoluted--downright confusing--storyline with undeveloped, stick figure-like characters and cool monsters that spit bolts of colorful lightning that make sizzling sounds. A city with throngs of screaming, frantic civilians helps to add a much needed sense of dread. And a nuclear submarine could never hurt. Think big, my friends.
That's all for now. This evening I'll be at Pizzeria Regina's for a pizza eating contest (I challenge you to a duel, Frank!). Hopefully, Frank cannot eat more than two slices of pizza. And hopefully I'll survive tonight given that it's St. Joseph's day and the pizza joint is in the North End.
