Owies?

I think the outer corners of my eyelids may have gotten a little frostbitten today. Oops?

I wore a noggin-bucket though, so that's a good thing. It was just very leaky. I'm going to have to requisition a newer one - I'm sure the one I wore is way, way, way old & out of date.

Aside from that though, my first day soloing out on the sled went really well. May have given it a bit too much "snuss" (sp?) getting back up onto the truck... ran into the back of the bed. Oops? I'm sure I wasn't the first one to do it though... pretty sure those dents were there before.

Put in about 20 miles that weren't strictly necessary after the plot - all on trails. Just trying to get a little riding experience under my woolies so that I'm a little more capable (and a little less helpless). Ran 'er up to somewhere between 45-50 on a long straight stretch, but mostly kept it about 30 (where the motor & the track were in good harmonics). I still don't get why people do it for "fun."

Okay... I'm still a bit on the chilled side... nothing that a night curled up under the down comforter won't fix though.

Stopped in at the quilt shop in Remer on my way back (again... funny how it keeps happening like that - I just consider it to be my lunch break when I stop, and the quilt shop to be a cafe of sorts). Picked up a couple more fat quarters - rich orangey ones, and fabric for the borders. Inner, narrower border will be a dark blue w/ dark (but still a bit bright?) purple print of rosey looking flowers... difficult to explain, but it's a gorgeous piece of fabric. Outer, wider border will be a really pale, grassy green batik - it's a kinda warm green, and very pretty. The two together look just stunning.

Every time I pick out a bolt of fabric at that place, *somebody* there says "Oh, that's one of my favorites... I love that one."

Must be doing something right, eh?

Tomorrow may hold an attempt at downhill skiing. We stopped through the hill this evening to see if the lift was fixed again - it is. So tomorrow should hold adventure.

Or something?

Tired, cold... bedtime.
