Ouchies...
Just did a preliminary run on our 2008 taxes.
Looks like we owe about a grand on feds, and 2.5K on states. Not too surprising overall, since there was a *huge* change in our joint income this year. So we've been planning for it, and have plenty stashed away to cover it.
Yay us!(?)
Means we'll still have plenty left in storage, and can take out a big chunk of more of the credit card debt.
We'll also be making the appropriate adjustments to our withholding (though I'm not sure how to do that for the state taxes, since Ryan works for UNLV - Nevada can't exactly withhold Minnesota taxes for us). We managed to dodge the penalties this year since our 2007 taxes were so much lower, but that likely won't be the case next year.
My doctor's appointment is tomorrow evening after work. Ryan will be coming with me - he's going to bring me in to work in the morning, then pick me up at the end of the day - that way we don't end up with two cars in town.
Maybe we'll finally find that prime rib dinner he's been hankering for afterwards.
Or go back to the Forest Lake place... they had really, really good food.
But he's been wanting prime rib - so we'll probably hit the Sawmill.
Have been feeling a bit better the last couple days - been waking up easier (although this may have something to do with dreaming that my alarm clock is going off for several cycles before it actually does).
