I can't believe that marrying out of your communoity is still an issue with most families in India. I know one such family. I come from a family where my parents are okay if I married a decent guy who didnt come from my caste,subcast etc

It surely is. I know several friends who have fought and waited to marry their love! My cut-sardar friend waited 2 years to marry his sardar girlfriend. Reason - He is a cut-sardar.

I think they won't mind but yeah they would be concerned just because the culture is very different. But my dad having lived in different countries is quite open
