OK, so

There's a thing that confuses me about Fringe...

September tells us Henry was born to the wrong Olivia. That Peter should have had Henry with 'our' Olivia, and it came about from September's own interference with the time line.

But as I understand it, in the *original*, unaltered timeline, Walternate would have figured out the cure and given it to Peter, thus saving him. So Walter never would have crossed over and taken Peter into 'our' timeline, thus trapping him here and making him meet 'our' Olivia.

So........

How is it that Henry was born to the "wrong" Olivia? If September hadn't interfered, Peter would had stayed in his timeline, gotten the cure, and been fine, growing up in his universe of origin. If Peter/Olivia was meant to be, then Fauxlivia and he would have met, fallen for each other, and had Henry.

And it still wouldn't be 'our' Olivia.

That's if what September is saying is that Peter's influence isn't key. Otherwise, what September HAS TO BE SAYING, TO MAKE LOGICAL SENSE, is that somehow, somewhere, Peter would have crossed over anyway and met 'our' Olivia.

Unless he's saying that Peter's influence makes 'our' Olivia, which I don't think he is.

So...flawed logic? Missing plot point? Or major writer OOPS?

It bothers me, I must admit.
