(no subject)
Sitting here frowning at what may well be an acceptable final draft of Risen (Unbreakable #2) wondering how many more readthroughs and tiny changes I'll end up doing before I get up the courage to post it and if it will actually go out tonight.
Also, re-reading Unbreakable, just as a final check in case there's anything not in tune with how I wrote the first one, and really... I seem to be spending a lot of time fretting about making this one perfect, but Unbreakable was not perfect. It was written and posted in a hurry.
It's a great deal less complex and more smooth and straightforward than this one, and less dark than I thought I remembered.
I don't know if it prepares people for this one, though, and I don't know if I'm prepared for more people reading this one. God knows what it'll be like when I get to trying to edit and post the almost-70k mammoth part #3, which is darker still.
(But it's kinda nifty to have written a trilogy. I've only written a trilogy as part of a collaboration before, so hey.)
