LOL ed looking at it again, yeah i think you're right. i really bought A LOT of stuff.
me and ed didnt take that many pictures (i took one with mario and uruhara from bleach, while ed took one with hibari. 8D), but it was still super fun just walking and checking out what each booth had to sell. and looking at the cosplays. (WE SPOTTED A MATSUMOTO JUN LOOKALIKE)
special moments!
1. checking out the first booth. i think me and ed freaked out the artist with. uh. loud squeals and other remarks. in the end we both bought 69 and 18 KHR stickers :D
2. finding HETALIA COLLECTIBLE CARDS! if it wasnt for ed i would have totally bypassed those.
jenn: hey look this booth sells official merchandise...
*starts to lose interest after a while*
ed: hey look isnt that hetalia?
jenn: WHAT HETALIA?? WHERE WHERE?!??!
ed said i made a fool out of myself. and that i scared the shopkeeper. but i was just really happy to find hetalia goods. UK WAS SOLD OUT (ARHGH), but i managed to get a few others. russia, germany and n.italy were sold out too. and looking at my cards again, i realised i missed out latvia, so my baltic states are incomplete. D< @!*#)@!
but those cards made my fangirl day. <3
3. MEETING SOU/KUNISAKI/
flowerchorusIN PERSON!
i seriously love her art. it's so pretty and colourful and detailed and unique and very special. she wasnt around when we went by the booth but when she came back i got to have her sign the doujin, and managed to give her my *crappy* fanart of her characters. i'm glad because she seemed happy with it though. but what made me happier was when SHE DREW ON MY SKETCHBOOK.
jenn: *mumblemumble* this is for you, i'm sorry erren looks so OOC
salesperson: *notices me taking out a sketchbook used to hold the fanart* would you like her to sketch you something?
jenn: YES
ok i have no idea if it's rude to ask an artist at a convention to sketch something for you, but she did, drawing erren IN SUCH SMOOTH SWIFT STROKES WITHOUT AN ERASER. it looked great. definitely something i will keep forever.
4. drawing on the graffiti wall.
jenn: ... i dont wanna.
ed: c'mon you've taken a picture with MARIO now you can do anything!
jenn: YEAH SURE
but in the end i drew a crappy mukuro, and was further convinced by ed to draw an even crappier UK. 'FTW HETALIA!'
what amused us so much was that when we came back, we found a russia next to the UK, with big big letters 'RUSSIA IS WATCHING YOU'. we felt most pleased. :'D
there were lots and lots of great art people drew. unfortunately i was stupid enough to forget to take pictures of that. ): ): ): ):
5. edlyn and the tongue twister: kurotsuji. 'tsuji' is just hard to say. @__@ tsuzi. tsuxi. zizee.
---------------------------------
and speaking of kurotsuji, me and ed realised that most of the fanart was of kurotsuji or KHR or hatsune miku or bleach or d. gray man or naruto.
and cosplay wise, we didnt get to see any gundams (i'm sorry ed!! ): ): ): ): ) or any truly hot anime-but-in-real-life men.
... shoot but i wish i stayed longer. then maybe we would've seen gundam cosplays. and realised the latvia card was missing. and took picture of the grafitti wall. D:
and if i ever get my drawing skillz to a level whereby i can make my own pretty fan-made merchandise and stuff, i would LOVE to have my own little booth and sell stuff as well. it looks really fun..!
but being a participant isnt that bad; it was a fun experience, and if i was given the chance to do it again, i'd jump straight into it, with my wallet and camera. :D
