D'Artagnan! You're back! No, this is my front. We must have been separated longer than I thought.
So, I am an intern no more! Soon i shall be working for the Court as a Real Grown-up (TM). Tis quite exciting.
Rather than a reaaaaaally long entry, here's a quick resoomay of the past 3 weeks' shenanigans...
Books read: Nights at the Circus, Turn of the Screw, The Aspern Papers, Fanny Hill (there's a book not to read on public transport), The Woman He Loved Before, insane numbers of Georgette Heyer detective novels (teh lulz)
Films watched: Fame (boy, talk about a downer!), The Producers (remake, joyous), Young Frankenstein, Top Secret, The Princess Bride, Disney versh of the Three Musketeers (yay Tim Curry. In no way typecast as the baddie. Ohhhhh no.), Aliens 4, Steel Magnolias, The Goonies, Kung Fu Panda 2 (film of pure awesomeness!!) and Tangled (birthday present, yay)
Socials, etc: pre-birthday lunch with the Magnificent 7, film night watching The History of the World, one last drinks eve at MUDAM, Xanantha coming to visit : D, night out at The (v popular with Brits) Tube, one (more) last drinks eve at Scotts, day trip to Bruges (soooo pretty!!), lunch with Xanantha, Chloe and amazingly-adorable-Felicity-of-supercuteness at Giraffe, family dinner out for birthday celebrationing.
Birthday funtimes: Stretched birthday over the whole weekend, because I can. So I got cards and presents (including, most pleasingly, a camcorder/camera from les parents) on Friday, went out to spend birthday monies in the morning and to dinner in the evening on Saturday, and had family filmwatching funtimes on Sunday. Also church may or may not have sung me Happy Birthday : )
I now have to get ALL THE THINGS done before scuttling off to Edinburgh to play backstage for the rest of August. Wheeee!
