"Shut up and deal"
Yay, got to see The Apartment again last night. What an excellent film it is...
We almost didn't make it because we had spent the day in Metz (very pleasing) and the train was delayed coming back. La vache!
Still, all gd.
Other things this week:
Saturday night: stagiaire party. Gd fun, but cannot wait for Lux to bring in the smoking ban!
Sunday: church, then met up with Grace (my partner in crime, filmwise) to have hot choc and cake at the fabulous Chocolate House (where I will drag anyone who comes to visit for sure) followed by watching Lawrence of Arabia at the cinematheque (gd, but intense) and then late dinner at the pleasingly named Maybe Not Bob's.
Tuesday: first Bible study group with All Nations ppl. John 13 vv 18 - 38. V interesting stuff.
Wednesday: farewell MUDAM social as one of the Friday Lunch Club was heading home soon. Lots of ppl have gone away for the Easter hols, though a handful have stayed to play in and around Lux.
Thursday: first day of easter hols : D Slept in till 1, whoops. But managed to fit in stocking up on food for the next week and a half (including a little Lindt easter bunny: Lux seems to be more about bunnies than eggs), meeting up with stagiaires at (again!) the Chocolate House for scrummy ice creams (I recommend the Black Lady, omnomnom), and meeting up with ppl from All Nations for study and the Lord's Supper.
Friday: Day in Metz. Up at far-too-early-for-the-holidays o'clock, then spent most of the day walking around the city. Station, Cathedral, German Gate and Pompidou Centre all v pleasing, and lunch (at one of the cafes near the station) was delicious!
Today I had my first practice with the worship team at All Nations. Looking forward to the next couple of Sundays : )
