Tigerrune & I are going on vacation!
Yay!
Considering this is the first non-family oriented vacation since we went to Ottawa 2.5 YEARS ago, I think I'm entitled to some excitement! It's amazing how a house & jobs make you into a to-do list writing, non-vacation taking drone. Mind you, me doing contract work (with no paid vacation days) for the last year and a half doesn't help any.
Anyway, should be fun. Since we got x-country skis for x-mas from my folks and neither of us can really use them, we're going up to a resort near Barrie to get some instruction. Since we're going during the week, we got a sweet package deal that includes accommodation, breakfast, dinner, and a day's trail pass. We're also shelling out for a lesson in the morning.
I'm SO looking forward to it- some much needed away time for me & the man, and some outdoor fun!
PLUS, the room has a jacuzzi & fireplace, so if the weather is sub-zero or all the snow melts or something (can never tell this crazy winter), then we can still have a nice vacay.
