Recs in Fandoms H-Q. So much good Hamlet fic this year.

Set The Wall Between Us As We Go (5304 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Old Kingdom - Garth Nix
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: Sabriel (Old Kingdom), Lirael (Old Kingdom), Nicholas Sayre, Prince Sameth
Summary: “Father left many secrets behind when he died,” Sabriel says. “I only wish he had told me of you earlier, I would have liked to have a sister to share my battles with.”

Sabriel and Lirael trying to adjust to each other with a bit of danger at the end. I love both of these women for their self-contained strength and watching them learn about each other was delightful.

A Virtuous Woman (2665 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Nightrunner Series - Lynn Flewelling
Rating: Explicit
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Alec í Amasa/Seregil í Korit
Characters: Alec í Amasa, Seregil í Korit

Happy Alec/Seregil - Seregil is all mischief and tenderness here, as he should be, and Alec is delightful.

Flick, Flick (5185 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Magids Series - Diana Wynne Jones
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Maree Mallory/Rupert Venables, Roddy Hyde/Nick Mallory
Characters: Roddy Hyde, Nick Mallory, Maree Mallory
Summary: Nick isn't quite all right yet, but it's nothing a little magic and kindness can't fix.

I love sibling relationships in fic and these two are hilarious and wonderful together. It's good to see Nick processing all the crap he's been through during the books, and Maree and Roddy are both perfectly written.

The Hush of Society (1980 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Lebedínoye Ózero | Swan Lake
Rating: Mature
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: OMC/OFC, Odette & Odile
Summary: A poor woman is given the opportunity for security by ruining the life of another whom she resembles.

Gorgeous AU stuffed with perfect historical details - two women with the same face, playing with identity in a gloriously realised Moscow. Written for me and I adore it :)

In which Sophie has a typical day (5916 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Howl Series - Diana Wynne Jones
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Sophie Hatter/Howl Pendragon
Characters: Sophie Hatter, Howl Pendragon, Calcifer (Howl Series), Morgan Pendragon

Utterly charming glimpse of Sophie's life.

Warning: Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Hamlet/Ophelia, Hamlet/Horatio
Characters: Hamlet (Hamlet), Horatio (Hamlet), Ophelia (Hamlet)
Summary:At the recipient's request: my attempt at a genderqueer Hamlet.

Beautifully written with evocative details to bring the time and place to life. You can see all the tensions of the play being drawn even tighter here.

How Luther Laughed at the Devil (1013 words) by Anonymous
Fandom: Hamlet - Shakespeare, Doctor Faustus - Christopher Marlowe
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Characters: John Faustus, Hamlet (Hamlet), Horatio (Hamlet)
Summary: When a Wittenberg mathematics professor is possessed by a demon, there's only one man to whom Prince Hamlet can turn: the demonologist Doktor Faustus.

Hilarious Hamlet fic. No, really. Student days at Wittenberg and Hamlet's the sanest one there. Yes, really.

Fandom: Hamlet - Shakespeare
Rating: Mature
Warning: Author Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Relationships: Hamlet/Laertes, Hamlet/Ophelia

So very cool, with an amazing Ophelia, observant despite her terror.
