That is wonderful and perfectly IC and thank you so much. I can just picture it. I hope you repost it in your LJ because it's worth other people seeing it.
The letters were often badly spelled, but Mamoru liked reading them, just the same. I think my English is getting better, one of the early ones said, but I guess it couldn't get much worse. I tried something new tonight, an Italian dish made with rice. It's called risotto. I think you'd like it.
Then there were postcards, less frequent, from different cities. The Eiffel Tower. Bavarian castles. Doing well. Words written on paper didn't flinch when they lied.
And then there was nothing at all, and Mamoru hated himself for finding it a relief.

Oh, it's fine! I changed that myself on purpose, because I wanted to see people write what they wanted to write. And I like this, even if I don't know the people...
