This is day 7 of the living room fix it up. Rumor has it that they'll finish tomorrow. Ran out of materials yesterday so an early end to the workday. I spent yesterday at my daughter's home and didn't come back here till the contractors left.

Woke this morning to sunshine, an auspicious sign for sure. As soon as it warms up I'll be outside pulling weeds. Nothing to do in the house. All that's left in the living room is the love seat and an end table. Having just completed "Atonement" by Ian McEwan I must now choose my next read. I was totally drained by the deep dark sadness of Atonement. I slogged through the book on and on till the ironically bitter end. Quite well written. I think I must be depressed, have no Urge to write, sleeping a lot...sad stuff going on. I've been so happy to have all my kids near but just found out that the youngest is planning to move about 500 miles away. All my old insecurities have reappeared. Yuck I don't like that.
