Another month in the City. It was odd seeing Adrastus around... but even more odd with his mother. Some mother's day that turned out to be, though, and am I ever so glad it's over!
I've finally been getting some practice in for my guitar, and I think I'm doing all right now with some of the more difficult songs. I've wanted to play a particular one for a while, so I'll give it a shot now. I wonder how many will recognize it, if it's also been performed in their worlds.
Well... here goes! I hope I can sing this right.
This song is titled Poison.
[ And she begins to play a cover of Alice Cooper's Poison on her guitar-- starting off like the regular intro but also with some interesting twists that are her own signature touch, like the Groove Coverage version--
And once that's started, she sings the lyrics, adding in a bit of a mix with her keyboard backing her. Her voice is trained and a bit soft for the kind of song it is, but she starts singing a lot better when the song progresses.
To those involved, it may become obvious why she picked that song at all. But otherwise, it's just a nice hard rock tune, for her listeners' entertainment.
She ends it on a resonating note, before cutting it off, and the song is over. ]
Heh, what a rush. I really ought to make sure I get some more songs in, don't want to get rusty! Though I suppose it's good to have something to relax with before looking forward to a busy week ahead, right?
