Fall Festival!

So, Fall Festival '16 was awesome! I was not aware that it was also my hometown's 175th anniversary, so there were some special things to celebrate that, as well--some old photographs of Main Street and what some places looked like before new businesses took over (the jewelry store was once the general store, for instance), and then they had a thing where you could get your picture taken, and they would give you a copy and put the other copy in a time capsule thing to be opened 25 years from now during the 200th anniversary. So of course I had my pic taken--they had props and things, and, naturally, I posed with a rose.

And of course, the crafts booths were as awesome as always; I do love that there's always a reminder that Halloween is just around the corner--

The majority of the crafts booths are returning from the previous year (you can check my Fall Festival tag for pics--though those are probably friend-locked), but there was one new booth with some journals and keepsake boxes that the person had decorated with steampunk designs; they were really cool--

I didn't buy any (they were a bit out of my price range, though I definitely would have loved one), but I did look around for some MFU stuff--didn't find it, but I did speak to a couple people who liked it (and David, heh) but said they didn't carry anything since it wasn't in demand. But there was one returning girl who makes fandom jewelry (I bought a TARDIS ring from her last year), and though she didn't have anything MFU with her, she did say that she does commissions and gave me her commission details so I can order like an U.N.C.L.E. badge ring or something like that. And someone had hand-knitted Pokémon woolhats! Those were really popular (they were sold out by midday), as you can imagine with the resurgence of Pokémon thanks to Pokémon Go--I ended up getting a Pikachu woolhat that covers my ears, which will definitely come in handy during winter.

There were some party games and things going on that I decided to participate in, as well. I'm quite exhausted, but it was a great time, and I'm already looking forward to next year!
