93 days in: First interview!

Apr 03, 2013 21:07

The interview I mentioned in my previous post happened today. I was super nervous, but I think it went well. The questions weren't too hard, and I at least feel like I answered them in a not-boring-and-I-will-be-a-good-person-to-hire way.

Of course, I did forget to ask if it was for the Chicago branch... but even so, it was good to have interview experience. It was my first in five years.

Still doing my contract job; still don't like calling people, but whatever - it's a job.

It's weird to think about how long I've been unemployed... I feel really unproductive. Like I should have cranked out three novels by now with all the free time I have and nope, that sure didn't happen. At least I'm still going to the gym and I've watched all of Burn Notice on Netflix and am now working my way through 30 Rock. That's productive, right?

My roommate is almost finished with her thesis. Once she graduates, we'll both be unemployed. Yay? Hope she gets a job close to home; I'm not sure what I would do if she moved out because I can't afford this place on my own. But it's pointless to worry about something that might not happen, so moving on!
