Sloooooow computers
Well enough is enough. I've stayed with my 512 MB of RAM since I got this laptop and I've been nice to it too. No spyware clogging up the registry, no random applications to slow things down, but it is SLOW. Makes simple things like opening up Word a trip in patience. Will it open today? Nope! Just kidding! Here it is! Oh wait, try again... Even posting here on LJ can be an interesting experience as I'm typing right now but the words on the screen have yet to appear...
No more! I have finally dipped into my pocketbook for 2 full gigs of memory. I can almost hear my laptop wheeze a sigh of relief. Just a few more days, Lappy. *pets*
In other news, I'm re-watching Lost! Woo! I just got the first disc of the first season yesterday from Netflix, and so far I've only watched part 1 of the pilot. But so far I've already noticed things that I didn't before. Jack's pathological need to fix things can be seen in his frantic race to find the worst hurt person around the crash site for one...
Also, I wish the plane's captain had survived--Greg Gundberg (sp?) is such a great actor. Too bad Smokey made mincemeat out of him so quickly... Speaking of which, I'm going to chalk that one up on my "Is Smokey Good or Bad?" list under the "Bad" category. What did the captain ever do to deserve that?
