a movie, a bit of shopping
Frozen 2 was better than the first movie, but given that I was not impressed with the first one, that wasn't a high standard to meet. I saw one review that said, "It was good, but not as good as the trailer made me think it would be." That's a fair evaluation.
There's a lot of re-writing of backstory established in the first film, which doesn't bother me. The visuals are way better in this film, thank goodness. The trolls grated less: no song. And uh, that's about all I have to say about that.
edited to add: well, one more thing--the very best part of watching this movie at the theater was hearing all of the kids laugh. It made that snowman character bearable, because the children liked him.
I found something simple for a Christmas present for a friend who's visiting in December and will have only minimal suitcase space, so yay. I have gifts for family already chosen, too. This is great! And thoroughly weird; I swear it was by accident that I got presents taken care of this early.
